planning exhaust setup

In desperate need of a new exhaust system. My plan is to run SD headers to the res, then 2.5 inch to either flowmasters or magnaflows. Just wanting to know if it's going to sound any good. I watched a bunch of the exhaust clips off YouTube of similar setups but sometimes the microphone and the speakers distort the sound. Also I've seen a couple people run massive cherry bombers for the res, good move or really bad?

glass packs work in place of a res, cost much less. i got a 32 inch thrush in my car.

them mufflers are up to you. i like my car quiet cause everything ive heard sounds like crap to me. i heard a regal gtx stage 3 in person, full slp car, sounds like a wet fart. no thanks.

I'm not looking for anything super loud or ricey lol I just want a nice smooth deep idle tone which is not that hard to do. The problem is the note it makes when the revs increase. Would the 32" thrush help that?

That might be an option. I'm still debating on whether or not in going to do it myself and save a little money or buy the headers, res, and mufflers and take it to a muffler shop and let them do the piping.

the only cheap way is to do it all yourself, that kit the only welding is to put the hangers on the pipes in the right places.

headers do yourself, cause you'll likely be raped by a shop for that. did mine in like 4 hours.

theres a good how to to follow here.

if you can get a hold of a 13 mm ratcheting box wrench, that will make taking the manifolds off real easy.
