• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Pissed at the USPS

so I moved and updated the USPS with our new mailing address. come to find out a time sensitive letter was sent like 2 days before the address change, and it turns out that to forward the letter, it first has to go to Denver, so the letter was sent out on the 8th, and I'm still waiting for it to come, and the post office informed me today it will probably take 10 days from the time of the address change to start getting mail. makes no sense. so I'm guessing I will have like 2 days to respond to the letter when it does finally arrive, if it does take the whole 10 days to get here.

That's nuts no wonder why they are going broke, our postman got an attitude with me because I didn't check the mail for a week while I was out of town. He's done that several times.

Right.. billions of pieces of mail..and trillions of changes..... let's blame the post office. lol

Since you know you are expecting the mailing. Reach out to the sender and maybe you can do it via email.

as part of their budget cutting , they closed down the mail sorting facility in my town. so now if i were to send a piece of mail to an address in the same city i live in , it gets driven 140 miles away to baltimore to be sorted then brought back...:th_laugh-lol2:

I didn't realize until after the mail was sent that it would take this long for the post office to transfer it. it would have made more sense for the original post office to hang onto the mail for me to pick up instead of it being sent to denver and then sent back to me at the new address.

I had a torque converter shipped to an old address that I forgot to remove from my paypal. Was able to contact the local post office, and they held it for me to go pick up. Took 2 hours each way, but I did it on my bike so didn't cost much in gas, well worth the hell I would've had to go through having it returned to sender, then reshipped back to me, more shipping charges, etc.

USPS BLOWS...

I had ordered CLub Level Tickets a few years back for a Philly Season Opener, and had a delivery date given as the saturday before the game....I literally left my front door slightly open in order eliminate any chance of missing the delivery....1500 rolls around, no mail...checked online for update, it said failed delivery attempt...almost had a heart attack....literally drove to the office and ran down the first mailman I could find, in the pouring rain mind you...as ironic as it may seem, the first mailman I came across happened to be resposible for "my route"...go to find out the asshat was too lazy to finish his run...a few choice words were exchanged as soon as the tickets were in hand...from what I was told he was actually fired not long after...
