I have a 2005 GP base madel with the following mods: FWI, SLP cat back (no resinator), 180* t/s, MSD coils, and recent tune up. At light throttle in 2nd gear or higher it sounds like the rockers are clattering. Only 30,000 miles on it. Any ideas on how to solve this crappy noise. TIA
 


it might be the injectors. mine does exactly the same thing. and i though the same thing but i was told to check out the injectors. mine is bad enough at idle i can hear them with the hood poped. if it is the injectors, not to worry, its not bad and you cant really do anything about it.
 
mine ping when im in throttle just like he is talking about. and at idle you can hear it, and okay no its not a ping at idle but when you are in the throttle like he said they do ping :)
 
is there anything i can do to get rid of it like chang injectors?? i dont beleive it is injectors clicking i dont hear anything at idle. but it could be
 


mine does the EXACT same thing. its like when you put some load on the engine, usally in second, you start to hear some pinging. your rockers COULD be hitting but that is what mine does and its the fuel injectors. you could change them, i ran fuel injector cleaner threw mine a couple of times and it dident seem to get much better.
 
oh okay. does your car still have a warrity on it?? if so take it to them and see what they say. or atleast have a mechanic check it out, you never know it might be something really bad wrong
 


i try to always run 89 or higher. And yes it is under warrenty but every time i bring it to the local dealer they end up f#$king something else up and i have to bring it back for them to replac ewhat they broke. they totaly suck. thats why i do all of the things that the cost is minimal
