I was inspecting my eng bay, making sure there are no leaks and all the rubber pipes are good and I noticed black stuff on top of my Throttle body, should I be concern? It only by the connector on the top of the TB. the rest of the TB is clean. (pictures below)

Does anyone else care we're confusing a throttle body for a transmission bell housing?

I for one; am worried.

lolz so I was right? I am still a noob learning...

shigh..so whats going on with my TB/transmission lol? I love this car, I will do w/e it takes keep it running.

No; that's your transmission.

The rubber courrugated intake hose after the air box where your air filter is...that leads to the throttle body.

You don't have a visible leak because the gasket failed and is leaking internally.

There is a video on here on how to change LIM gaskets.

Yeah it looks like a leak at the connector. Nothing to get too sad about just keep checking the fluid levels. I would be worried about the LIM gaskets though. Where you from?

How the hell do you confuse a throttle body with the transmission?

I'm sorry I know your a "noob" and all but that's basic stuff. Kinda funny though.

Hey easy now. I'm sure he didn't come with it on his own. Lost in translation asking how to ask the question. At least it is in the same vicinity.

South FL, The leak is very slow, takes a month or more before I have to add any coolant.

What should I clean it up with?

Purple poweror simple work. but looking at your picture of a Bonneville and probably almost 10 years old I will get the Lims changed.
