People who dont understand what a Low gas light is...

TorqueAutoMotiv

donated to get this wow
Mainly my wife and few others who have used my car and did this.
Last week my old lady says the gas in the crown vic is low I figured i was off for the week she can just use my car since moneys a lil tight and I just filled it up
Thursday I go ot hop ein the crown vic to go get gas and its bone dry the needle didnt even register luckily the gas staion isnt to far
It took 18.6 gallons to fill to the first click when the pump shuts off.
Its only a 19 gallon tank. I have nevver put more then 16.5 gallons in it when the light comes on
The crown vic was my CAR (before i picked up the gtp) i detailed it weekly and kept it CLEAN since shes had it about 4 months it has scratchs and dings ggrrrrr

Then saturday I hope in the gp thinkin Ill go wash and top off the tank
Its lights on and bone dry it took 15.4 gallons to fill up. isnt it only a 16 gallon tank
I swear this woman is going to kill my cars

I put supreme in both cars needless to say im a bit discouraged putting over 120 bucks into two cars

running it that low is going to kill your fuel pump and clog your fuel filter. have fun doing those jobs. time for a stern talkin' to.

Its ok until she learns how to treat my cars she stuck driving the beat up runs like a dog 95 merc sable wagon lol
She's a little pissy but she will get over it
Sad thing is I actually let her drive the gp in the first place
SHe doesnt understand The cars mean just about as much to me as she does lmao j/k

you dont have to know anything about cars to know gas goes in the tank or car no worky lol.

thankfully my fiance never lets her car get below a quarter tank, and she doesnt drive mine lol

I ran my car to the low fuel light after I got it to fill back up and it held like 14. But it REALLLY makes me mad when I let someone use my car (my x) and I get it in the next day and my lights on! With ANY car/truck I drive I HATE that! What if I have to run from the cops?!?! lmao! But on a serious note! One day there was tornado sirens going off and one touched down like 17miles from us and I get in my car to haul butt to the fire station (basement) and my freakin low fuel light was on! I chewed his butt out!!!! You never know when something is going to happen and you don't have time to put gas in your car!!

It just frustrates me cause thats the number one killers of fuel pumps running the tank down we had to replace all the ones in the shop last year at school cause they never have gas

i will admit i run it down sometimes to help cycle fuel so it doesnt get all mixy.. but not to the light being on or sounds.. everyone knows when it says "empty" on the needle it still has a bit to go lol

Yea my rule of thumb is the lights come one i fill up withing 25 miles or so on pretty much any car ive had except the 76 maro i had i filled it up at a 1/4 tank lol or it would leave me stranded

I always fill my car up during the weekend as i get paid on Friday. I'm usually around a 1/4 tank or a little less. I've run it dry once by accident when I got the car. I've run it down to almost empty a few times as I was being lazy and didn't want to get up early to get gas before work.

I like to fill up at 1/4 tank to help keep the pump cool, but sometimes I don't have the cash. Yesterday mine took 17.4 gallons to fill up. Must be an 18 gallon tank.
