• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

People on craigslist....

I mean First they undercut my price by 100$... dont get my me wrong i knew it would happen to be undercut slightly. But to undercut me a trying to get 33% less then what i put it up for..

Btw before i get to carried away this is about my phone selling for 300 which is what they go for on ebay.

She offers 200... so i offer back 250 and nothing...

Isnt it courteous to atleast tell the person that your not interested in that price... I mean come on

I've sold things on Craigslist and people have bothered to drive out to my house and then lowball me. They say something like,"Well I only brough 75 (and the price is 100)." To which I say,"Should have brought more. Have a nice day."

My thing is i know they are coming. But atleast when i tell you a different price (still lower than my original by 50$) to give me a yes or no answer that simple

That happens to me a lot too. It does get annoying but if someone doesn't answer I send another email asking them to please reply. Plus if it's the first email I've sent them sometimes they don't see it cause it goes to a spam folder. But I get what you're saying about how some people never want to pay what somethings worth. If it's **** it's one thing to ask a lower price but if it's nice then I just pay what they're asking.

The offers are slowly rolling in and people are responding back... at 2am lol after our first messages being over 12 hours ago but ill take it :P

what did you expect its cl, I lowball the hell out of stuff on cl if they sell it to me for stupid cheep ill take it. If im selling somthin i usualy put it up for more than i want that way they can feel good about themselves when i drop the price for them

Well it is getting sold... cheaper then I expected but someone I know from school a friend asked for it so I cut him a deal but still means my HU is gonna be coming true

I bought a crazy huge Ram off CL. Was up for for $5,500 I told him before I left all I had was $5,000 we agreed on a price before I pulled up pending he wasnt BS'ing me on the quality of it. Long story short thats how it should be done.

I love the people on CL when they ask if you have any other items for sale. Really? I would have listed it.

You're supposed to have a set price on a car that you're going to look at? Slightly understandable to say you only have an amount of money, but normally people just say that so that the other party can't try to negotiate any higher up.
Personally I would never barter on a vehicle I've never seen.

My buddy does this with Apple laptops. He's scored more than a few new ones in the $400 price range. He turns around and sells em for almost double. But I guess there are some ppl out therewho just lowbal to be cheapskates.

People don't bother to read either.

I made an ad listing every single 3000GT?Stealth part I have in my garage. Every part had prices listed. I put at the very beginning of the ad "if its not listed, I don't have it." I also put "prices aren't set in stone, but don't lowball me. If you do I just won't give you a response."

Well people still emailed me asking if I had a part. Some of the parts were on the damn list, they were just too stupid to read, or too stupid to know how to use ctrl F. Then I had people offer me less than half on some parts. Then email me again 3 days later because I ignored their email asking again.

I'd also have people ask where I was located. My location was right in the header. Apparently they don't know how to use Google maps or Mapquest.

People are stupid.

Every time I sell consumer electronics on Craigslist I put in my ad that I only deal locally, face to face and in cash. Inevitably, without fail, I get a pile of either idiots or scammers that would like me to send the item to their address or would like to "cut me a check." You definitely don't get the smartest folks using Craiglist. :P

I make sure that it is known that the price is if it turns out to be exactly as described. No leaks no dents no whatever and if there is then we will re negotiate. Ive had a price set went there and then offered less because of somthing that wasnt said over the phone. I just dont drive 2 hours without getting a ballpark price.

Thats how I did it. Funy enough it was someone I went to school with that I ended up selling it to and he found the ad on craigslist lol

I've never managed to have a "cut a check" situation go well unless it was somebody I know or a friend of friend.
