Passenger seatbelt light on with no one in the seat

Did a search, didn't find anything.

Occassionally, I get the light on the dash to buckle the passenger seatbelt and the dinging that is annoying. Today it happened, only thing on the seat was a mask and a piece of paper. Is there something I can adjust so this does not trigger so easily? One option would be to either leave the seatbelt buckled or get a male insert to leave in it.

Would like to fix versus instead of those two options, not willing to put much money into the problem.

Do you get the airbag light as well? I never had the dinging but had the airbag light a lot on both a 07 and 08 Grand Prix.

I could massage the seat at the forward most seam on the center council side of the seat and it would go out.

Never found a real fix.
