Partial throttle surge

I've already searched for "surge" and didn't find anything. 2006 GT 3.8 Supercharged. New plugs, wires, vacuum hoses and cat. Just mentioning those so no one goes down a rabbit hole, as it was doing this before I changed them. Ok - engine runs great, nice and strong on boost, however, at part throttle (say motoring along on a flattish road at 30-45 MPH) if I start going up a hill or give the throttle a gentle nudge to accelerate a bit the engine starts to "surge". If I mat the gas pedal it's spot on (pulls like a beast). Ideas? It starts easily, runs great, is giving me 24+ MPG (my calculation, not the cars) combined. No codes (and the CEL does work). Thanks in advance.
