Painting Grand Prix HVAC Controls

Has anyone done this, or modded it to make it look nicer, say to match the headunit mount kit? I was thinking of replacing the bulbs with LED's that match my dash, & paint the kit to make it look better than the standard grey.
 


I tried swapping LED's in the HVAC, i have the digital one.. didn't work, wasn't possible to swap LED's. I have a full Blue LED interior conversion, my HVAC is the only thing still red :(

Mine's the regular A/C controls, no display...

Would be nice to. Even if I have to splice a new wire for the LED to turn on with the dash lighting.
