pacesetter headers

i see zzp has pacesetter headers for only $380 but it says that they have a leak on the "y" pipe but zzp says if you buy their version for $45 more it doesnt leak. Can anyone give me any info on them if they are good, bad ect. thanks. its for a 04 gtp
 


My pacesetter headers will arrive on Monday hopefully, and their for an 04 gtp as well. It doesn't have the ZZP Kit, but i did buy a better gasket for the downpipe, and will be picking up band clamps to seal up the leaky y pipe. I hear the EGR also is the wrong size on these, but i am going to try and make it fit and use rtv to seal it up. I will let you know how the install goes, but i will likely have to wait until i get a weekend with 3+ days off because if i do something wrong(Quite likely to happen lol) i will not have a car, and i have to drive to school, but hopefully ill put them in next weekend!
 
as a pacesetter user, guys please search about pacesetters and welding. You be glad you did the research. However, if they are new.. you won't have my experience ( previous owner beat them up pretty bad)

Speed daddy headers are easier on the wallet (search ebay and this forum) by the way.

WEll, there is a good possiblility i will get my headers welded, but i have a question about that. Do you assemble and bolt the whole thing together first, and then have it welded, or does it have to be welded while putting it on? I don't have access to a welder in my garage, and im not a great welder to start with so if i can get it all bolted together, then should i just take it to a welding shop to get them welded? Thanks. Also if i don't want it welded should i just get 2.5" band clamps, some 2 inch grade 8 bolts (because i hear the ones it come with are too short)?
