just bought a 99 grand prix, with 3.8 not sure on trans hd or not whats the dif.?
shifts fine through all gears but will not get into fourth. hooked up my scanner and it had 1811 for a trans. code. i cleared it and the code has not come back
but it still wont shift. droped pan and changed filter, oil looked good, no chunks
just normal fine debri on magnet. looks like trans or engine swap may have been
done in past. is there a tag somewhere on trans so i can get gear ratios or not a problem? is lock up suposed to work in third because i know its not. scanner shows fourth engaged but 3200 rpm at 70mph. need some help here thanks.
