P0449 Code (Yep, again)

So I have read quite a few threads about the code p0449. I am trying to find a definitive answer on what I need to fix. Some people are saying I have to fix a solenoid that is located in the drivers side rear wheel well. Then I real some people say I have to fix a part on the back of the motor. Then I read I need to pressure test for vaccum leaks. I bought a gas cap from GM so I know that is not it.

My job has cut hours and I really can't afford to take the car to the shop, so this is one I am going to have to tackle on my own. Does anyone have a answer to this? Also, if it helps any, since my check engine light came on I am 2 miles per gallon less and it seems like the car is DRINKING gas. Help please!

the solenoid sits right on the intake manifold maake sure its plugged in tight and the hose that runs from it to the side of TB is also intact an secure.
