code p0230, fuel pump relay circuit

Car wouldnt start and pump wouldnt prime. Scanned it with my genisys and got the fuel pump relay circuit. I removed the shady walbro install my car had in it and replaced it with a delphi. Hotwire kit was cut up, and one of the plugs on the fuel pump canister was missing and had speaker wires running through it. Safe eh? Figured going back to the factory wiring would have solved my problem. Not so.

Checked wiring under the hood and it seems a wire was tapped from the pcm harness and went to the hot wire kit. Further checking revealed that the pcm harness wire looks burnt in the connector.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2001 gtp? Anyone know if the pcm connector can be opened or if the wire can be taken out and replaced going back to the relay center?

I'll be stopping by a local guy and the dealer for info, but I figured I'd at least check here first.

so far there there have been two breaks in the relay wire, one in the previous owners splice and one further in the harness.I removed the wire from the pcm connector (properly removed) and are going to try to get another harness from the yard to replace that single wire and run it back to the relay center.

Just to share the horror, new pump on the left, old pump setup on right. See the red wires coming through the top were the gray plug should be? How about the clear and violet speaker wire?
 
replaced wire from relay center to pcm, still nothing. Going to backtrack other wires and see.

I might be saying this to myself, but In case anyone else has this problem I'd like them to see what all might have to be done.
 


had 2 pcms checked, the incense one was toast.

Finally took it to a auto electrical shop, where he discovered that the delphi fuel pump was shot.

So after all the wiring work I did that was needed, it was the new fuel pump I bought.
