Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

alright so i got this code 12/31/09 bank1 sensor 2 blah blah heated o2 sensor. so i replaced it. all was well until 1/15/10 when the SES light came back on. so had it scanned made sure it was the same code. ended up replace the 2 week old sensor with another one. well tonight boom same code again. i know this p0141 can not be tripped by the cat. so i know the cats not the issue. iv checked the fuses/relays everything is straight. from what iv seen there is no issue with any bad wiring running off the o2 sensor. any ideas of whats next!?

edit- and im thinking the sensor is still good cuz my still averaging 22-23 on street and about 27-28 on highway.

You checked the ign1 fuse under the hood? If thats good and the sensor is good then you have a wireing problem. Check for a rubbed through wire somewhere. Try in that tunnel heat deflector where the harness runs.

iv checked that. and it all looks good. and yes last time i checked the fuse it was good. iv also heard of fuses going bad but not showing it? maybe i can try to replace the fuse and see if it changes lol.

you'll also never know if theres an actual problem related to that or your cat, if you go the emulator route

i know there isnt anything wrong with that cat. if there was a problem with the cat it would throw a p0410 or something. the p0141 has 0% todo with the cat. but when i get my headers i think im gonna get rid of the cat.

all the more reason to buy the emulator and really if a cat goes bad there is always the smell DUH if not then it would more than likely be completely plugged which i have seen cause retards thought they could use diesel to clean out injectors and they used to much xD classic mistake lol

that code means your sensor is bad, or there is a problem with the wiring going to the sensor. plain and simple. since you've tried 2 different sensors, we can probably rule that out (unless they're bosch sensors, then you may try 20 of them before you find a good one) i'd get a volt/ohm meter out and start diagnosing ALL the wiring

its a 99, and yes they were a bosch: i havnt gone to dealer to get the oem one yet. and i will try the volt/ohm this weekend. what is a normal range for the wires? or is any power good.

oh man. dont waste your time with the voltmeter now that you've said its a bosch. go to rockauto.com and get a denso and be done with it

I don't know if this would apply to you but when I had that code the MAF sensor was dirty, a little electronics cleaner took care of the problem.
edit: nevermind I was thinking of the P0171 code

the maf sensor? that has not a damn thing to do with the p0141 from my understanding? but hell ill try that to lol

I screwed up the numbers, sorry about that, I just looked at my service records and I was thinking about the wrong code.

ur rear o2 is to tell if the cat is working or not.....nothing to do with ur gas mileage. turn it off or a simulator. done.
