Spring is coming (THANK GOD) and I want to order some overlays. I have a black coupe w/hypersilver TSW Nogaro's. I also have an SD hood and SLP gen1 spoiler. I love the black/red theme but I want to be a lil' different.

Since my SD has to be painted, my plan is to have the "scoops" of the SD painted a gray color w/the air dam/rear vallance to match. Here's a crappy pic of the car..

I don't know. I think a really, really deep purple that would almost blend with the black would look good.

That still hasn't put any pics up in the other thread yet.lol!!!! I have just always thought deep purple always looked good on a black car.

i think yellow looks the most badass on black cars of all of those colors.

dont black it out, everyone is doing it and it is starting to get very old.

OK..hrees a thought. What if I mainly go w/black/silver. Then add a purple accents. Such as
arrowhead black w/purple border
front plate insert "PONTIAC" = purple, supercharged = sliver
rear have the silver vallence w/ PONTIAC in purple.
then paint calipers purple w/silver brackets.
Door sill overlays = purple
either do the GTP badges in purple w/black (domed) or just leave them the stock

I'd say yellow but yellow and silver don't flow well IMO.

Could do the same idea w/ red or blue though..what do you think?

you guys are saying that when you see a black and yellow car, you notice the front and rear bumpers and it clashes? you have got to be kidding me. it looks killer.

paint the front and rear bumper lower sections black. its easy, tape it off, sand, paint, wet sand. then you wont have to worry about it matching.

That could look good. Or you could reverse the two and use silver as the accent. Just enough to breake up the purple and black. Say like supercharged would be purple with a silver background. the same with the arrowhead. Then the vallence purple, with pontiac on the rear in silver. Add just enough siver to it to make it jump out at you but nothing that draws alot of attention.

I am not saying that at all. BUT if I am using more silver (ie SD hood w/ silver stripes and painted lower vallences) yellow doesn't really match. Its like using 2 light colors together.
