The JMB fenderwell intake was the best one, however the larger maf is welcome addition to the already anemic ls4 maf if you look above I made a sticky about this a while bsck
Yea the heat soak takes place very fast on the ls4 platform. I cut my fender brace out with tin snips. So my filter sits there. I have roof flashing that seals it up. ~60-70 bucks total in the whole setup for meI see what your saying.. at that point Id just get the overkill intakeor the intense fwi, bolt it up and call it done.. although yours is probably more effective..
Ive had parts and tunes ( canned ) from WIll in the past and have been pretty impressed on my s/c ssei and grand prix. So not doubting it, but the whole setup seems to contradict what you dont want to do, as far as intake placement
