• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

camping and boating are the ****. hunting/fishing is boring unless im completely hammered, therefore i dont go.

Hunting people isnt legal here ....yet, wait till martial law is declared, it wont be long.

I only camp when I fish or hunt so I havnt dis-associated the two yet.

Hunting is the **** to me, nothing like killin, and then harvesting your kill for food.

This is my, and one other GP'ers idea of camping. :D

im more of a fishing person myself...nothing like goin out on a lake with a cooler full of beer and good friends.camping blah, hunting blah i do however loveeeeeee goin to a shooting range or out in the country somewhere and let loose with the assault rifles and pistols on poor defenseless trees and what ever other junk may be laying around.

Ive trail camped before a few times, I had the sporttent that connects to the back of my old blazer and jimmy. I miss the trails......

Good learning experience too, got the chance to have a guy from a Land Rover training school ride with me and instruct myself and my friend on how to do some things. Ended up getting about $2,000 worth of lessons for free.

That's pretty awsome. Probably came in handy when you hit the flood waters. What type of trails did you have to go down? Mainly rock or a mix?

It was mostly just really soft clay which posed a problem becuase the first night there we had a massive storm that soaked everything and made all the trails very slippery, even washed out sections of some of them.

Heres a picture someone else took for example, does'nt really look 'too' bad but when you look closely you can tell the ground is wet and slick, and not to mention off to the left is another trail that descends very quickly surrounded by trees that you could easily slide sideways into.

Kinda sucks, becuase I was the second one in line to go over it.

Big fisherman and hunter as well. I feel at home in the woods or the banks of a creek.

DO you have urban hunting out there like they do in some parts of that region?

We got some monster whitetails around here but projectile weapons are not to be brandished in public( found that one out while bowfishing). I got a food plot at my work (Cabelas) and starting one at my house now.

In certian cities they allow bow hunting with permission from the land owner. Bowfishing for carp I assume? One great thing about NC is that they have the "open carry" law (bit of a grey area) for vehicles. I exercise my right everyday!:th_biggrin1:

Me and my brother want to get into something like that. Atleast once I can make my way back home. Maybe get a old beater yota or something we can put a good suspension on, but not have to worry to much about banging the body up.

****, we have to have a FOID to even eyeball a gun let alone touch it. 24 hour hold on rifles/shotguns and a 3 day hold on handguns. I feel violated for some odd reason.
