Had a buick come in on the hook today. Customer said she took off from a stoplight she heard a loud clunk and then lost all steering.

None the less this is what we found. All 4 cradle bushings rotted out and the bolts ripped right through. You can't tell me she didn't hear something for quite some time prior lol. All in all the bolts came right out of the frame. We ended up getting new bolts, bushings an oil pressure sensor power steering pressure switch and we put the steering rack back into her steering shaft.

There's metal plates that sandwich the bushings to the subframe. The metal plates just rusted through.

another person who ignores stuff when they knows something don't feel right, you cant tell they didn't know something was wrong way before the steering went out lol

there must have been some motor and trans flexing going on there, and some clunking going on.

looks like the u bend delete as been done or the pipe was hitting the ground and wore through lol
