So a week ago a friend of mine with a '03 Monte Carlo wanted to race cuz she was sure her Monte could beat my GTP. Even tho I knew it couldn't I just had to take her up on it. Needless to say I won the race but I guess I lost in the long run. After the run my car started knocking pretty bad so I had it pulled to the shop I work at. It honestly sounded like something in the transmission went, so I unbolted the TCC and started the engine, no more knock.:th_scratchhead: Had the tranny gone threw and it wasn't in good shape but nothing to make it knock. I pulled the oil pan on the motor today and i found my problem. #3 rod bearing is in many pieces in the bottom of my oil pan!!! So now I'm looking at a rebuilt motor to go along with my fresh tranny. Oh well I guess, I plan on keeping this car for years to come so it just as well be like new. I don't normally drive it like this, but one can only take so much before ya just gotta prove yourself to the other person!! lol I can take some pictures of the pieces in the oil pan tomorrow if anyone is interested in the carnage.
Rebuilding a motor eh? You know what that means... mods :th_king-evil:
