O'Reillys Brakes and Rotors

If I was going to buy brake pads and rotors from O'Reillys, what would you advise I buy? Not that concerned how fast the pads wear as I am with quietness. Would like to go with the life-time warranty though.
 


any pad they offer other then the STANDARD brand are lifetime warranty and all should be non noisy unless u get up there in ceramics those may have slight noise if any and the wagner brand rotors have a lifetime warranty ull spend 20 on pads give or take and 35 give or take per rotor..........i work for oreillys and other than the said STANDARD brand ive seen slim to none issues with the other products
 
Well generally speaking, in times past the “standard” grade pads were better than the “lifetime/premium” in most every performance measurement except longevity. Seriously, ablative = good

The times are changing and maybe that isn’t really consistent with today’s compounds.
That said I’m a year into my first set of ceramic pads. And if they are louder than OEM pads I have never noticed. The braking power seems comparable to OEM also, but I have a strong feeling ceramics would exceed in a fade test. And maybe the best feature of the ceramics is no black dust.:) I really don’t buy the claims of “low” dust on ceramics, it is just white-ish and nearly unnoticeable at a distance.

And as far as rotors, they are all about the same. IIRC some ( maybe all?) of the “cheap” ones are thinner to make a price point.
 
I think that ceramics are the way to go. I had a problem with the cheaper pads dusting up my wheels.
 
i just threw on some wagner thermoquiets, and i like em so far. stopping is no problem, and i haven't really noticed any brake dust. I have semi metallics on the rear though, duralast gold iirc, and i don't notice any difference in brake dust or sound between the two...

Really? When I put duralast on they sqeaked like a som b1tch on my GTP. I use the cheaper pad on all the rest of my car with no problem though, except dust, but thats not an issue.
 


Thanks you all, for all your opinions and experiences. Just what I needed. For an '04 Grand Prix GT 3800 series 3.
