Ordering springs and shocks tonight…

Getting ready to order the B&G lowering springs and the KYB AGX adjustable Struts tonight from WBS…

Quick question, any reason to go with the shortened dogbones and would the Pogo washers be needed with the combination I’m getting? From what I read, probably not, but I want to head off vibrations and other issues as much as possible. They seem like cheap insurance…

Invest in the pogo washers. They will help with the pogo. You can get the AGX's cheaper at performance peddler. They still accept the "clubgp" discount code to knock off a few more dollars. The B&G springs lower the car even more than the advertised drop. You will most likely have vibrations going that low. You can either get shortened dog bones or vinnie's spacers. I would go with the spacers.

^^ the spacers he's referring to are for the motor/tranny mounts to offset the axle being higher in comparison to where the motor sits when lowered.

Ahh…Discount one of my favorite words!
I went with the KYB AGX’s and the Eibach’s, I figure they will settle closer to what I’m looking for. Off to track down Vinnie…

put everything on the car and see if you have any vibration. a lot of it is attributed to worn motor mounts as well as the axles being out of their natural geometry.

I think I will wait and see how she settles out before making other additions. It has the original springs and shocks with over 85,000 on them; needless to say the shocks are gone! Right now it is 16” between the center caps of the wheels and the bottom edge of the wheel openings both front and rear. We will see where it ends up.

Well just got them on. I had dropped off the 01 to have them mounted and aligned; it was funny, the guy called me to come pick it up and on the phone said, “I hope you like this, it rides like a tank or something, are you sure you want this?” However, it rides nice! Its firm, but not at all what I consider bouncy or ruff. They put in the alignment bolts and the alignment is good: tracks straight, no wandering. I’ll give it some miles to settle.

For anybody wanting to know how much it will lower their car, remember it will be a little different and has to be compaired with what you had on it before: I had the original springs and shocks with 85,000+mi on them. It was 16” front and rear from the center caps to the lower edge of the wheel opening. It is now 15 ¾ front and 15” rear.

After some miles I’ll get the nose down. My first impressions are I would highly recommend this combination.
