Opening a door

I have just replaced both door handles on my 91 Grand Prix SE. They both installed just fine. I thought. They both worked fine until today when my son tried to open the passenger door it didn't work. So I tried to open it by the inside latch and that didn't work either. So now I have no way to open it.

I am thinking that the arm has come off to the latch. The question is. How can I get this door open without damaging anything?
