Open Cone need bigger pulley?

So I thought I was all set, got a set of headers, 180 thermo, colder plugs, Intense PCM, all to run a 3.4" pulley. I'm on zzp ordering and they're saying open cone intakes, which I'm currently running, need one size bigger. Do I really need a 3.5" I've never read this anywhere else.

Rely on intense-racing for accurate info and far better customer service. ZZP makes some decent products too bad most cant say the same about their customer service.

 OMG I'M TOTALLY ORDERING THE 3.5" PULLEY FOR MY COMPLETELY STOCK CAR!!!

and i could... because zzp said so... if it blows... hey they said it could handle it right? :th_laugh-lol2:

j/k j/k don't get all crazy on me blue

Actually the SLP car had a SLP Intake, SLP 1.8 Roller Rockers, SLP Catback, and a 3.5" Pulley from the factory for the Stage 3 car...so it isn't that bad.

True but do you think that a completely factory car... minus the classic open cone intake would be capable of handling a 3.5 pulley? that's 3/10s of an inch smaller than stock and 1/10 more in tiny-ness is capable of blowing your engine...

Not trying to start an arguement or anything, zzp just list the 3.5 as being able to be put on a completely stock car, but we know a 3.4 without the supporting mods will blow your engine... not good guidelines in my book
