Only 3.3 lbs of boost?

Think i finally got this damn thing running after the tune. Now im only reading a little over
3lbs of boost from the torque app and my boost gauge. I have replaced the bbv cause it
was broken. I just rtv'd the i/c and the charger. Not sure if i used the right stuff though.
I used the clear rtv. Im hearing a hiss from the back of the motor. So im not sure if the
rtv did the job. any thoughts?

is it idling ok? or does it have a high idle or stalling going on?

you can spray some carb cleaner at the IC and blower base while its idling, if the idle jumps up you found your leak area.

never seen clear rtv.

maybe he used a hot glue gun lol. Never seen clear rtv either. Check your STFT/LTFTs (fuel trims) if you see +16.4 you have a vacuum leak.

I had a similar issue on my 99. Couldn't make boost to save its life. Dog slow. Crappy fuel mileage. Shifted funny. I unhooked the vac line from the BCS. BCS was shot. I never did replace it though. Like 25K later and still has the vac line disconnected.

Check LTFT's like stated.

If IC'd, I'd wonder if the PCV is done correctly.

Also, yes...BBV needs to be vented to the atmosphere.

It idles high when i first start it up in the morning, but after that its ok.

LTFT-16.4 (so im guessing there is a leak somewhere)
STFT-20

Its a Gen V on a Gen III core if that makes any difference. I've read about the pcv mod, but
i was going to run a breather instead. Yet, when i installed the breather the car ran worse.

and on the back of the gen v there is a hole that looks as though something should be connected
there.

ok, just came from blocking the bbv and replacing the map...again
went for a drive and still only reached 2.7 lbs of boost. everything
is tight. still gotta find that vac leak, could that be the end of the
road?

I had a similar problem in my Rivi, only making a couple pounds of boost at WOT. Turned out to be a blown EVAP purge/vent fuse. On my car it was on the fuse panel on the drivers side of the dash, should be in a similar/same spot on GPs. This fuse is also inline with the O2 sensor in the rear manifold (at least on Rivi's). I was throwing a few codes for it though, but you never said anything about any codes.
