One door lock does not respond to key fob.

Any idea what causes ONE door lock to no longer respond to the key fob? The driver's side rear door on my 2001 GP GT just does nothing in respone to the key fob, neither locking nor unlocking. It can of course, be operated manually. Is there a typical way these things fail? Anything I should look for?

I'd check the connections to the BCM, and the harness going into the door, sounds like it's a dead wire somewhere between those two.

I think the actuators go bad quite often. Does it work with the switch in the drivers door?

can you hear the actuator?
my 04 rear passenger starting on and off until it wouldn't move.
I could hear mine so I took the door panel off and shot it with silicone spray + all the parts. I worked it manually until smooth.
I think the rod had become misaligned

Update: When it doesn't work with the key fob, it also does not work from the switch in the driver's door. However, randomly yesterday it started working with both the key fob and the driver's door switch, then a while later it no longer worked with either. When it works, you can hear the actuator when you're standing next to that door. When it doesn't work, you don't hear it. So. . . it's intermittent!

I'll probably open up the door and check the wiring, and spray some silicone lube on the actuator in case it's sticky.
