there are decent 97 - 99 cars

97 may be said to be a botch year, but it is nothing compared to the 03's problems

i'd rather have the 97

i dont like traction control anyways
i like the lower insurance
and the better steering wheel

97 wasn't the first year of things..it was merely the first year for the GP to get the motor. Nothing is botched..it's a first model year for new drivetrain in the GP.

03 isn't botched either. Although the trans is a one year only trans.
