Old E85

Just a few questions regarding E 85. I've had my GP sitting for roughly 2 years now without a drivetrain. I'm looking to get it back on the road soon. It has about a half a tank of E 85 that needs to be pumped out. Will my walbro fuel pump need to be replaced or should I be fine. I'm going back to regular pump gas.

I think he wants to know if sitting in E85 for years did any damage to his pump...

drain the e85 and refill. it absorbs lots of water when you let it sit.

typically when you put an e85 car in storage you want to drain the system and flush it with regular gas.

buy a tester and test it, but the likely outcome is that it's bad.

E85 is pretty similar to heet antifreeze.. so it is really stable. You shouldnt have to do anything but drive it at this point.

I'd say drain the tank and try it unless you want to pull the pump out and inspect it.

go back to 93 after you drive out what you have? Pretty simple concept here.
