OK thinking about going BIG

I havent seen many 04+GTPs tuned up and its hard to find info about certian parts and how they feel or whats best for the car. I'm serious about getting a cam this week. I think the XP HOT cam looks pretty good compared to the VS cam. I'm already the fastest GTP at my local race track but I want to show up some V8s over here. Last time I went I hit a 13.5 with super aired down street tires.

Would it be safe to run the XP HOT cam with a 3.2-3.0 pulley? Any better combo or what other products can you recomend. I really want an intercooler but damn theyre pricey

There is a break in when you BUILD a motor...not just toss in a cam.

A WBS Stage 2 IC would be about the price of a cam/springs/retainers/install kit/fluids...just sayin'.

With a Stage 2 IC...I'd say a 3.2" would be great on a little more than stock timing...

With a XP...which isn't going big...an XP isn't a BIG cam...I'd go with a 3.25".

I meant more going big like putting in a cam which not many people do. I just thought the XP is a bit more agressive than the vs and the xpz looks pretty hard core. So what do you think is the best bang for the buck.

The Intercooler from WBS.

It's like less and a grand and all you need are a couple gaskets, coolant, and TIME...oh and a pulley/scanner.

You can just cut the top like most people do and run some hose to reconnect it if don't feel like buying rails...but IIRC, both WBS and ZZP sell cheaper lines that clear the IC.
