ok. so my windshield wipers are stuck like this. it did it before but it went back to normal a couple days later well this time they are staying there and have been for almost two weeks. i had a friend tell me that it was the switch.. ? like the whole control assembly that everything is on? or something else. because quite frankly im going out of my mind. HELP!

More than likely it is in the switch. Not for sure about the wiper motors on our cars but could be the controll board on the actual wiper motor.

Do they move at all and they just happen to park there?

It's common for the park pin to bend out of place and then they can't catch it to park properly. Another common item is the module on the bottom of the wiper motor goes bad from getting water in it. There's a plastic piece that goes under the cowl to deflect the water...kinda like the one for the cabin filter side.

they do work, really well, no hesitation. but when they are shut off they go right back into this position instead of down at the bottom.

im gettin ready to do mine this weekend so ill let ya know lol :)
ok i changed my wiper arm motor and it did the same thing someone said something about a pulseboard? hell idk im gonna talk to a relative this weekend who is a mechanic and see what he says ill keep ya updated

any updates for me dear? ive been told several times its some kind of switch thats like 25$ but its a b!t< h to fix it. so i have no clue and carlise performance and style and the carlisle hustle as it is. AHHH!

Sounds like the parking tab on the wiper transmission is bent. You'll have to remove the wiper arms and trim to get at it and check it.

my wipers do this when the temperature drops well below freezing. i have to let the poor car thaw out in the sun before they work right.

omg sorry about that ok i fixed mine and it only took about 30 mins reason being is taking every thing off to get to it after you take off the cowl and your wiper arms there is a metal tab on the right side of the wiper arm assembly it will be bent it is called the park tab? its what they catch on to park where they need to i had a buddy help me so its easier with 2 people all i used was a pry bar and a hammer and hit it till it bent back into place where they would catch turn wipers on and off to check your progress the tab dont look like it would do anything but believe me it does hit me up if you have any questions good luck :)

Ugh I'm so nervous to try this. But I've got to before I freak out. Is there a write up somewhere? Because ive never really done anything this before.

i couldnt find anything but it is easy hardest part was gettin the wiper arms off then remove the cowl and unhook your fluid tubes from the wiper arms just make sure you have someone help you it wil be much easier that way bc you have to keep toggling the wipers on and off if you were closer id do it for you lol :) also bc not to chip your hood with the socket wrench lemme know how it goes for you

that would help but i dont wanna be some random girl calling lol whats their screename so i can message them :) id really appreciate it.

The one I'd start off with is 2003 SSEi, his name is Pat and you'll want to stay upwind of him if he ate something foul the night before..:th_laugh-lol3: Good egg overall though.
