Oild dipstick handle broke.

So I noticed a leak in my front valve cover, so went to check my oil. Part of the handle broke off in the tube, not the entire dipstick. But it's a yellow piece of I think cork that is lodged in there. Any idea how to get this out? And if I can't how easy is it to replace the entire tube myself?

when mine broke off in there i used the dip stick to get it out, its got a slot in he middle.

if need be the tube is bolted to the front manifold stud. take the nut off, pull the tube up.

Most dipsticks have a curve/twist at the bottom and should pull the piece out with it. I see it all the time at my work.

That you stick it back through the broken piece and spin it out while pulling the dipstick out.

Yea that's the first thing I tried, ended up pushing it further down shen I finally got the thick through it. Now after working at it the stock just goes right through it. Switched to a flat head and it just isn't budging. I'll need to drain my oil when I replace the tube right?

push the pin most of the way out of the handle and you can take it off yer stick and put the handle from any LSx/3800/3400/3100/etc dipstick on it from the junkyard.

i paid 5$ for 4 of em last time i restocked my supply.

i think im gonna get an aluminum LSx type dipstick handle off ebay for my waGN since the handle is 3" from my headers
