Oil Pump?

My 98 GP GT 3.8

I just replace the engine in and the have the oil adapter off because it didnt fit the engine (engines from a olds 88) but anyways i had to start the car to move it and no oil came out were the adapter fits on. Is the normal?

Yea the city was after me about it sitting in one spot for more then 10 days, so i had to move it. Should oil have come out where the adapter sits or is there a bypass or somthing
 
I don't think so. I haven't looked up the oil flow, but it probably gets pulled to the pump and pushed out through the adapter. So likely you starved the bearings for oil and you'll be swapping another motor in once this one gives out.

I dont care about the motor its on its wy out anyway, i'm building up a S/C one to swap this with this one
