Oil pressure sandwich plate size?

Hey guys, I just bought a oil pressure gauge and I was wondering what size adapter I need. I know I need one with the 1/8in port. But what about the fitting?
 


I knew where it was supposed to go.. But I can tell by eye that the fitting on the stock oil sensor is way bigger than the fitting on the electrical sending unit for the gauge. I needed to know what size adapter I need.
 
take the stock sensor out and go to the store with it, then match it all up. hardware store may be the place to go if the parts store dont have it.
 


ace is the place. i plugged my sensor hole with a brass plug. got it from ace. they got all sorts of stuff. tell the counter guy what your doing and they will help you out. they know where all the stuff is and it just flat out goes faster with their help.

bring the stock sensor and the new one, that way you cant f up at all.
 


So what size was it? Redcompg said 3/8 to 1/8, but the gauge I bought says it'll be 1/4 to 1/8 in the installation sheet online.
