oil pan removal

Hey ok, so I'm changing my oil as well as my gasket and there isthis thing in the way and iI'm not positive on how to get the pan off. Other than take the bolts out. But there is something in the way that I'm unsure of what it is. I have a 2005 GP base model. Any ideas and help?
 


Thanks. And another question. Since I'm changing the oil pan gasket, I'm going to do the valve cover gaskets as well. Since it will be all torn apart, would it be recommended to replace the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets and will I need to get new coolant elbows?

Hmm depends really. If the lim gasket are plastic yes it wouldn't be a bad idea to change them. If their aluminum however no need. The plastic elbows tend to leak anyways so it would be a good idea to go ahead and change them to the aluminum ones. VC gasket only change them if they're leaking if not wait till they leak lol.
 
right now my coolant is still original, so the gaskets are still original and the coolant elbows are still the plastic ones. I am almost certain the rear valve cover gasket is leaking as well as excessive sepage on the oil pan gasket.

Then you know what to do now, Go get them done !!!
