Oil pan gasket

Ok another stupid question. So I'm putting on a new oil pan gasket (felpro) on my 2005 GP GTP. Open the box and it's got this cool looking gasket with the "plastic pan". Inside my oil pan is a metal pan that's bolted in. Do I leave that metal pan in and just let the plastic sit on it / near it? I googled the crap out of it but can't find anything.

I thought the aluminum oil pans used grey RTV only with no gasket.

Aluminum pans do get sealer no gaskets you are correct.

Heres the pics, So I dont need this gasket just gray rtv? That would be some what simpler.

And yes the pan is getting cleaned before it goes back in.

That gasket is for the older metal pans.

Thanks for that link I would have completely messed up with out it. Im swapping a steel pan for the aluminium I would have been screwed had I not known to swap the pick up tube also...... Thanks FFDP and Ithurtz I'm a little lost right now. I'm using a Series 2 block but swapping everything from my series 3 onto it.
