well like it says the light is on and the lifters don't sound to be getting oil. almost seems like the oil pump went out. the car is a 2001 with about 151,000 miles. i never had one go on a 3.1 before and i have had a couple. has anyone had this happen before? the only problems i ever had before is with the intake gaskets. this is the most miles on one i ever had so i'm not too familiar with the problems theese might have. i mostly had bonnevilles with 3.8l engines. i had them from 20,000 to 297,000 miles and never had any problems like this. any help would be appreciated. also it doesn't have shavings on the dipstick yet cause i shut it down and it doesn't have bottom end noise.
