Oil Capacity?

What is the oil capacity of a 2002 Grand Prix GT. I'm changing the oil tomorrow and I need to know how much to get. Also is 10w-30 the recommended weight? I'm in Southern VA climate.

I'm pretty sure it's 4.5 quarts, and 10w-30 is the recommended.

I've always only put in 4.5 to bring it right to the top on mine. And yes I let it sit over night and lift the front to drain as much out as humanly possible.

As long as you're not going over the hash marks on the dip stick, put in as much as you like. Like I said, 4.5 quarts on the dot is what brings mine to the top of the hash marks.

I always put in 5 quarts. It always goes over the top of the hash marks. I have never had a problem. No leaks. No issues.
