Oik dip stick broke

The handle of the dip stick broke off, it's plastic. The remaining "stick" is now about 2 inches down in the "tube" and won't budge despite my best efforts.

Can I remove the tube from where it goes into the engine in order to get at this thing.

I do not want to have to take off the oil pan.?

Just pull on the bottom of the tube its that easy

Unbolt it from the exhaust manifold and then pull it.

Damm dipstick is $25 at the dealership. Busted 2 doing exhaust work!
Just pulls from a grommet in the oil pan after loosening 1 nut on the exhaust manifold.

My dipstick did the same thing. Just buy a new one or get one from a yard.

I'm on my third dipstick.

I take it out and set it aside when doing exhaust work now.

$5 at the wrecker.
