OEM Radio Clock stays on?

Sorry for all the noob questions, but is the radio on the clock supposed to stay on all the time, when the car is off, and no key in the ignition? I'm just concerned about the battery, I know it's not much juice, but there's not all that much juice left in the battery either lol....
