Odd noise, can someone help!!!

Hi Guys,
I have a 01' Grand Prix GT with a 3.8, non supercharged. It has 86K, I get a odd noise when I hit around 35 Mph and it gets louder as I go faster, it sounds like a propeller on a plane, or a whine. When you hit about 65, it's at such an RPM that you can hardly notice it. The odd thing is when you make adjustments to the steering wheel, you can make the pitch or whine sound change as well. It sounds like it's coming from the front of the motor. If the car is idling and I rev it up, cannot get it to do it, so I'm wondering a power steering pump, trans-axle issue or has anyone else experienced this noise? It seems to run fine, just sounds like a Cessna on takeoff!!!!
 


It sounds like you have a wheel bearing on its way out which is very common on these cars. Does it sound like it is coming from the front or from the back of the car? Either way, here is how you can tell which side it is on..... Get up to speed to make the noise happen. If you turn slightly to the RIGHT then you are putting more force on the left side of the car and taking force off of the right side bearing and it will quite up. If you turn LEFT then the same thing but on the other side. More load on the bearing will make it louder so swaying the car left to right will help pinpoint the noise.
