Braceyourself this may be a long one. but im stumped. 2001 grand prix gt 119000 miles.. i bought the car and the catalytic converter clogged. so i cut it out and re welded it closed. 2 years later tranny goes.. me and my grandpa rebuild it using a tranny from our local pullapart. less the 700 miles later. my car shifts late. the hotter it gets the slower it shifts. tried putting lucas and changing my filter since i rebuilt it so recently . changed the battery last weekend. when im changing the battery i notice this plug under the battery and for the life of me i have nooo idea where it goes.. no idea even if its related. the more i drive the more im thinking its electrical or a sensor of some sort since the tranny looked good when i changed that tranny filter. anyone know what this plug is for? i got passed up by a focus yesterday .... not cool!

sorry if i posted this wrong or left anything out. im a newb lol

Totally normal. Searching on a title like I gave you will bring up about 10 posta with pictures of that connector sitting there.

any idea what its for or does lol. i know the wire cut by my tires is traction control related and i have a few friends with thats tc wire cut in the same place. could any of this be related to the slow shifting problem?

Sorry, I should have said, the connector being open is normal. It has nothing to do with your transmission issues.

well i guess thats one thing off of my mind lol thanks. im just going to start going to pull a part every weekend and hope for another tranny
