Octane Boost additives??

With all of these E85/fuel threads going around, curious if any of you have experimented with octane boost adders from local parts stores? If so, how well have they worked for getting rid of knock?

I still want to go E85, but wonder if I can add some octane boosters in the meantime while I obtain fuel system components.
