o2 sensor removal

I am going to be putting in a custom exhaust and straightening everything out. I am going to keep the res and cat, but I was wondering what would happened if I didnt put the second o2 sensor back? and what do I even do with it? Im just looking for some simply remedy and I have heard that the rear o2 wont hurt anything besides throwing a code.. Which I dont care for, so I just want to verify that this is correct. i have the 2003 grand prix se with the 3100

Probably trip the cat diagnostics if it's the same as the 3800's for 01+ cars.

If you're keeping the cat and resonator...then why get rid of the o2?

Rear o2 helps in the cars fueling, it needs it in the exhaust system.

Just stick the o2 sensor back in after the cat converter when you are done building the exhaust.

That's why you build the exhaust and weld in a bung in your new catback.

If you want crappy performance...even worse than what you have now...then get rid of it.

Ill have to have someone else weld it in.. And as a correction, my performance is not crappy. At all.

Not lying to anyone here, we know how fast a 3100 is.

But seriously, getting rid of it will only hinder things. Not help.

Your exhaust shop will have any bung you need, really.

Not saying its beyond fast, but with my upgrades I have already disproved just about anyone on the type of gains I saw.

Ill just take in the pipe i will need to the muffler shop when I also get my downpipe welded to the flange. Thanks, I definitely didnt want to do anything that would effect the pcm
