• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Now there's something you don't see every day. Supercharger

no sh1t bmw = alpina and yes this is nothing new is my point clutch hub superchargers have been around for a long time......

they work just like an ac compressor clutch and by using the clutch style hub on the superchargers you dont need a bypass valve for the supercharger. most hubs are electric yes but use magnets to engage and disengage the snout.

disclaimer for the sarcastic people: Alpina and mercedes are NOT the only ones that have used a clutch type supercharger.......... shocking i know! lol.

and your point is?

its very common for mercedes amg cars alot them use this so did the srt6 crossfire hmmmm werid that damn srt6 is like 80% benz to begin with sharing engine and chassis with other benz cars i just dont remember which one off the top of my head.

just because american cars dont use them very often does not at all mean its new or rare......

This one is centrifugal like the clutch on a go cart nothing to do with magnets. So they work nothing like an AC compressor clutch, they work based on RPM. To my knowledge this is only one of maybe 2 others I have ever seen that use a centrifugal clutch. Had this been an electrically operated clutch I wouldn't have even mentioned it as they are a dime a dozen. The MR-2 used one in the 80's and the Mercedes used them in the 90's and early 2k's and Mazda I think used one for a little while on the IHI Lysholm they used, but don't quote me on that.

Nope just something you don't see every day...... just like the title. You need a reading comprehension course.

Someone go find me a working Miller cycle Mazda.

Looks like Tyler had his Asshole helping of the day. I've heard of you are what you eat, but damn. That's pretty interesting Jeff. I like it, but it'd still end up in the "more **** that can break" category. lol.

Yes Tyler, you said that in chat and no one thought it was funny there either. Please contribute something useful for a change. It still amazes me that you haven't a clue about anything. You'll only read partial information and go off about this or that when it doesn't have anything to do with the price of tea in China. Your ignorance still amazes me everyday.

Blueguy, the only time I see those Mazdas is in the junkyard. Thought it was a little strange with the 2 small IC's in there. I was always interested in the IHI's in there but they are too small for anything I would use them for.
