• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Not brand new, but time for an introduction... Fun install ahead

Hey everyone. I have a 00 green 4dr GTP with 130k, tan interior, and 35% tint on the front and back.

I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago from my brother when it had 101k. He was the 2nd owner and owned the car since it was a year old with 15k. When I bought the car, I replaced the plugs, wires, belt, air filter, fuel filter, T-stat with a 180* T-stat, oil change, changed the supercharger oil, replaced the LIM, coolant elbows, vaivle cover gaskets, TB gasket, SC gasket, o-rings, and battery. I replaced the fuel pump and sending unit around 110k, inner and outer tie-rod ends around 115k, transmission around 123k, and alternator around 129k.

I got the transmission from a junk yard, believe it's a 97 because the shop who installed it told me the fittings didn't match up. Also the trans oil pan was leaking so they swapped it out with my original trans but the pan bolt holes didn't match up so they drilled new ones, iirc.

Last spring, I put in some of Classy's retrofits, but had to take them out and replace them with regular headlights after some clipped my front end and broke one of the projectors.

Now I've held back with the "I'm gonna get" posts, but now I have all of my stuff in hand and ready to be installed. in my bedroom, new in boxes, I have:

~HPTuners(actually took this out already)
~Speed Daddy headers with 2 new 2 1/2" band clamps and 2 3" band clamps, o2 extension. and dual wall flex pipe to swap. Also some copper RTV, but not sure if I'm going to use it.
~Spectre cone filter to make my own custom intake(not sure if I'm going to connect it straight to the TB or use a PVC elblow with rubber couplings and clamps.
~Racetronix fuel pump rewire kit and Siemens Deka 60# injectors to run e85.
~4 gauge power wire to go from the alternator to the post on the under hood fuse box.
~ZZP alt. voltage booster
~NGK tr55 plugs
~new acdelco wires
~new fuel filter
~ZZP catalytic converter because mine has started to get loud
~new brake pads, but plan on doing a F-body front brake swap soon)
~modular pulley system with a 3.4 pulley

Right now, my plates are expired becuase of an EVAP issue. The o-ring on my sending unit was ripped thanks to guy that installed my fuel pump(didn't know it was so easy). I just replaced the o-ring with a new 1 from rock auto, but the check engine light came back on. So, after all of the drive cycles are complete, I'm going to see which EVAP codes are showing and tell my HPTuners not to read it, take it to get emissions texted, and renew my plates. Then I will start installing everything while I try to tune it. When everything is good and there's no KR, I'm going to install the 3.4 pulley and tune. I'm hoping that I can get down to a 3.2 or 3.1 pulley with the mods and e85, but we'll see how the KR is.

Good luck with your build. Keep us updated. And start a members ride thread with pictures!

Welcome...why don't you tune out the cat codes and not put the cat back in?

I honestly haven't listened to any of the exhaust sound clips on here, but I just assumed, based on the size motor, that it would sound better with a cat.

Just noticed you live in Montgomery. I work in Montgomery.

Cat delete doesnt change the sound all that much. Resonator delete sounds like junk!...nice another montgomery person!!

I'm gonna take your word for it and go without the cat. It'll be less work, make it easier, and I'll sell the new cat that I have. Thanks
