Totally down for this! Count me in. Missed all the ones last year.

Re: Northern IL w-body meet XLVII Planning: 10 year anniversary!

OK, kids. I've gathered some intel.

Seating - There are 2 "party rooms" off on either side of the main dining/bar area. We can make reservations for as many people as we need, and they'll accommodate with enough tables to take care of that. If we want to reserve either side for ourselves, we'd have to pay $75/hr to do so. I don't think we need that, so not a big deal. As long as we have as many tables as necessary for our group to be able to dine together.

Food - I'm glad I talked over the buffet layout, because quite frankly, it seems like a rip off for the amount of food you get. For example, the pizza buffet has bumped up to $14.49/person since last year, and it is based off everyone getting 2 slices and 4 wings. So our alternative is everyone can order off the regular menu with individual bills. That way, everyone can get whatever they want, not to mention get you a lot more food for that $14.95 range.

Games - In these rooms, we will have access to the following: Free - Darts, Foosball, giant Connect 4 & giant Jenga; $1/game - air hockey; $11/hr - pool, shuffle board & ping pong.

Dates - They already have 2 larger party reservations for the 21st at 7:30 PM. However, the 28th is wide open at this point. If that date works for most, I think that would be better. I put us down for a party of 10 - 20 already just to make sure we got it. She said we can always cancel or change it within 2 weeks if need be.

In other words, this will basically be like a Fuddrucker's meet, but with an upgraded venue. Food will cost around the same, just with a larger menu to select from. We'll still have a large room kind of off from the rest of the restaurant, except we can make reservations, and will have access to games. It is in large strip mall, so even more space to get all our cars together. I'd like to plan this one for the evening as opposed to noon, so it'll be a bit more like a Saturday night party atmosphere.

So the only real question now is who's in for the evening of 28th??

OK, kids. Official date has been set to the 28th, which is only 2 weeks away, so we need to get going on the attendees list (will need to give them a fairly accurate head count for the reservation very soon). It's time to come out of hibernation!

Less than a week to go. If anyone else can make it for certain, please let me know ASAP, as I need to give the place a fairly accurate headcount in the next day or two.

Yup, still on. The reservation is for 6:30. I'd imagine most people are going to be there by 6, maybe even earlier just to have some time to look at the cars and snap some pics before going in. I'm going to shoot for 5:30ish.
