Noise When Starting

When I start my gxp theres a noise I was reading online and some people with the same problem said it was the starter ????

Yup, kinda sounds like the starter gear stays out too long and catches the flexplate as it starts spinning faster than the starter gear.

If you pulled the starter out, it's possible you'd see marks on the gear teeth.

Ok so is it better just to replace the starter ??

I took mine apart last week and put some lithium grease on it and back together and the noise is gone! Sorry for late response!
