Noise from engine bay

I have an 01 gtp bone stock and have a rubbing/grinding type noise coming from the passenger side of the engine bay. It goes away after giving it some throttle. At first after researching I thought sc coupler but I disconnected the sc belt and turned the pulley on the sc and it had no play to it. I also started the car and it still made the noise while the sc belt was off so I know it's not that. The bad thing is I don't have a heated garage and it's been really cold in combination of me workin 60-70 hrs per week so my time is limited.

Maybe water pump? Even though no visible leaks nor overheating

I recently changed idler pulley and the car has 113k on it. It also had a list of stuff done when I bought the car. Sc gasket, valve cover gasket, sc oil change, brakes, cv boots, thermostat and some others I can't think of off the top of my head.

Any help would be appreciated
 


try turning on your ac when your engine get warmed up. I had a bearing rattle and that was my problem so try that if it goes away then your ac bearing is bad...
 
you hear this in park. or when rolling slowly?

if its in park take both belts off, then fire it up for a minute, if theres no more sound its a pulley or engine pulley. a/c. water pump. ps pump, or alt or tensioner.


if its only when rolling, check the dust shield on the brake rotor, sometimes they get bent and rub the rotor. could of happened during the brake job.
 


turn the ac on or defroster should turn the a/c compressor on, if the sound is gone the a/c clutch is wearing out. some have sprayed lube inside the a/c clutch and it seems to work. for how long idk......
 


grinding, a/c compressors do that too.

if you look at it car running, just the outside where the belt is that turns, when its on the whole hub turns. the bearing in the clutch fails and then it makes bad sounds when the a/c is off.
 
Well the car is at my in laws as they have a heated garage and the car will stay there overnight. I gotta go to work the gym then work in a couple hours so I'll more than likely get it done in the morning after I get home.
