I drive an '04 GP GT1. I turned my car on yesterday and it suddenly had two strange problems: 1) my wipers had no power going to them, and 2) my HVAC system has no airflow whatsoever. These issues appeared without warning--my wipers have been running perfectly (the motor was actually just replaced about three months ago), and my heating/cooling has been phenomenal. Both of these problems happened at the same time, and nothing happened that I think could've instigated the problem (no accidents or anything like that). I checked all of the fuses I could, but I don't know what some of them are and some of them are the big block fuses that aren't transparent and can't be manually inspected. None of the fuses I checked were blown, however.
1) Wipers: It is snowy and cold here (~30° F). I checked the wipers to make sure they weren't iced/stuck to the windshield, and they were not--I can move the wipers as much as you normally can when they're locked because the car is turned off. When I push the lever down to activate them, I hear no noise at all and the wipers don't move even a little bit.
2) HVAC system: When I turn the car on I get no airflow whatsoever from the heating/cooling. I can turn the knob to adjust where it should be blowing from (e.g. switching from defrost to blow at my feet) and I can hear the motor changing the components to make that happen, but no air is actually flowing from the system.
Everything else electrical seems to be functioning properly: headlights, turn signals, hazards, brake lights, high beams, etc. all work fine. The problem seems to be isolated to the wipers and the HVAC system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I'll bring it in to a shop next week (hopefully they can get me in before Thanksgiving!).
