no heat coming out of heater

Okay now here is my issue, I just replaced the water pump, thermostat, all hoses, serpentine belt and removed the coolant resevoir to completly clean it out. I don't seem to have any leaks, but now my heater doesn't get hot when the car comes up to temp.

thanks in advance for any help,

Jim:confused:

ontop of the thermostat housing in a nut/bleeder valve.

Open that ( turn it 2 full turns, just enough to open it) and start the car and let it run up to operating temp. Watch the air and coolant come out (coolant will come out, but not a boat load).

Let the car run and keep and eye on the air bubbles and wait for them to pretty much stop. It may take up to 10-15 min to get it all out so give it time.

Fivefinger thanks again for the help, I will try that 1st thing tomorrow. I will post back to let you know how I made out.

Fivefinger, did what you said & there was alot of air in the line. took about 20mins, got all the air out heater works fine, but now the low coolant light is on and coolant level is fine.

are you basing the fact that it is full based on the overflow tank, or have you popped the rad cap and looked down into the rad to see if it is full. just cause the overflow is full does not mean that the radiator is full.
