no downstream 02 sensor on my 04 Impala SS at the moment, is that ok ?

just installed my 3" catted downpipe and i couldnt get the old o2 sensor off the stock downpipe soo right now im not running a o2 sensor its an open hole and it sounds like a cut out lol. Is it a bad idea to drive like this for a day or two intil i buy a new downstream 02 sensor ?
 


You need a torch to heat up the pipe to get it off the old pipe. Get it almost cherry red and the old o2 sensor will come right out.

What will happen is your going to throw codes and your car might go into open loop and dump fuel like crazy. Meaning your going to get horrible gas mileage.
 
Old one is stripped. No check engine light a yet. Gotta say she goes soo much better now with the new downpipe
